Amethyst is a very versatile crystal. It is believed to aid spiritual awareness and creative thinking. It is a protective stone and is said to protect agaist psychic attack. Placing amethyst next to you while you sleep is said to reduce nughtmares.

Amethyst is connected to the brow and crown chakras so is a good crystal to use while trying to connect with Spirit.

In healing, it can be used to relieve headaches, release tension, relieve physical and emotional pain and help combat addictions. Can also be used to reduce bruising and swelling.
